Bishop Watterson Eagles (Columbus, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bishop Hartley Hawks (Columbus, OH), 50-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop Watterson upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 5-1. Bloom-Carroll lost 66-61 in their recent non-league bout against Jonathan Alder (Plain City, OH)

Next up, the Hawks play the KIPP Columbus Jaguars (Columbus, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Bishop Hartley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 57-42 non-league win over Parkway (Rockford, OH).
