Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Okolona Chieftains (Okolona, MS) and the visiting Bruce Trojans (Bruce, MS), saw Okolona's basketball squad overcome Bruce by a tally of 60-41.

With the victory, Okolona improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Chieftains travel to Houlka (Houlka, MS) to play the Wildcats in a 1A Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-3.

Next up, the Trojans play the East Webster Wolverines (Maben, MS) in a 2A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Bruce will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record.
