The South Point Pointers (South Point, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV), 104-102 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pointers (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Ironton (Ironton, OH). The Fighting Tigers go into the Ohio Valley test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Ironton got by Fairland (Proctorville, OH), 76-72, in a league test.
The Knights now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Parkersburg for a Mountain State test on Wednesday, January 4. Cabell Midland will encounter a Big Reds squad coming off a 54-49 non-league loss to Maysville (Zanesville, OH). The Big Reds record now stands at 1-6.
