In Friday's league match, the host Champlain Valley Union Redhawks basketball squad scored a close 55-50 victory over the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers.
With the victory, Champlain Valley Union improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Redhawks travel to Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT) to confront the Green Knights in a Metro challenge on Monday, January 2. The Green Knights come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Rice Memorial won 69-53 in their recent league challenge against Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT)
