Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Thomas Heyward Academy Rebels (Ridgeland, SC) and the visiting Charleston Collegiate Sundevils (John's Island, SC), saw Thomas Heyward Academy's basketball squad hold off Charleston Collegiate by a tally of 60-55.

With the victory, Thomas Heyward Academy improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Rebels host Patrick Henry Academy (Estill, SC) to confront the Patriots in a SCISA AA Region II challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 6-6.

Next up, the Sundevils confront the Jefferson Davis Academy Raiders (Blackville, SC) in a SCISA A Region I challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Charleston Collegiate will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record.
