Cherry Hill East Cougars (Cherry Hill, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cherry Hill West Lions (Cherry Hill, NJ), 59-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cherry Hill East upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Williamstown (Williamstown, NJ) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Williamstown lost 61-47 in their recent non-league bout against Westampton Tech (Westampton, NJ)

Next up, the Lions play the Deptford Spartans (Deptford, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Cherry Hill West will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 46-38 non-league loss to Overbrook (Pine Hill, NJ).
