Oregon High School Basketball - Churchill nips Thurston

Churchill Lancers (Eugene, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR), 65-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Churchill upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Lancers host South Eugene (Eugene, OR) to play the Axe in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Axe come into the bout with a record of 6-4. South Eugene lost 77-70 in their recent non-league bout against Sandy (Sandy, OR)

Next up, the Colts play the Churchill Lancers (Eugene, OR) in a 5A Midwestern bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Thurston will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record.
