Texas High School Basketball - Era succumbs to Valley View

The Valley View Eagles topped the visiting Era Hornets basketball team by a score of 52-38 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Eagles now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ponder for a 3A Region II District 10 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Valley View will battle a Lions team coming off a 39-34 non-league loss to Connally (Waco, TX). The Lions record now stands at 7-3.
The Hornets (4-14) will now prepare for their battle against Chico (Chico, TX). The Dragons come into the 2A Region II District 13 battle with a 13-6 record. In their last battle, Chico prevailed over Bryson (Bryson, TX), 62-43, in a non-league battle.
