Texas High School Basketball - Floydada crushes McMullen County

December 30, 2022: Floydada, TX 79235

Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting McMullen County Cowboys (Tilden, TX), 65-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Floydada upgrades its record to 19-4 on the season. The Whirlwinds travel to Lockney (Lockney, TX) to clash with the Longhorns in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Longhorns go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Lockney lost 54-46 in their recent league bout against Smyer (Smyer, TX)

Next up, the Cowboys clash with the Goliad Tigers (Goliad, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. McMullen County will attempt to upgrade on its 20-2 season record.
