The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears to 57 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hawks now sport a 15-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kingwood Park for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Hardin-Jefferson will meet a Panthers team coming off a 62-47 non-league loss to Katy (Katy, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 9-13.

The Bears (15-7) will now prepare for their contest against Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Cardinals enter the 4A Region III District 19 contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, Bridge City nudged Pollok Central (Pollok, TX), 50-48, in a non-league contest.
