The Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) basketball crushed the host Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots (Mission, TX), 73-47 in Friday's league test.

The Gladiators (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Nixon (Laredo, TX). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region IV District 30 test with a 10-11 record. In their last test, Nixon was trounced by Palmview (La Joya, TX), 75-62, in a league test.

The Patriots now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Palmview for a 5A Region IV District 30 test on Tuesday, January 3. Mission Veterans Memorial will encounter a Lobos squad coming off a 75-62 league win over Nixon (Laredo, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 17-7.
