The Mountainside Mavericks topped the visiting Sheldon Irish basketball team by a final score of 60-49 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Mavericks face the Aloha Warriors (Beaverton, OR) in a 6A Metro game, on Friday, January 27. Mountainside will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record.
With the defeat, Sheldon moves to 4-7 on the year. The Irish travel to Willamette (Eugene, OR) to face the Wolverines in a 6A Southwest game on Tuesday, January 10. The Wolverines enter the game with a record of 4-6.
