Rotan Yellowhammers (Rotan, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rule Bobcats (Rule, TX), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Rotan upgrades its record to 9-10 on the season. The Yellowhammers travel to Knox City (Knox City, TX) to play the Greyhounds in a 1A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Knox City won 93-4 in their recent league bout against Lueders-Avoca (Avoca, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Roby Lions (Roby, TX) in a 1A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Rule will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 39-35 non-league loss to Westbrook (Westbrook, TX).
