Texas High School Basketball - Santo knocked off by Sidney

The Sidney Eagles basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Santo Wildcats to 54 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blanket for a 1A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Sidney will meet a Tigers team coming off a 42-26 league loss to Zephyr (Zephyr, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 5-2.
The Wildcats (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Poolville (Poolville, TX). The Monarchs enter the 2A Region II District 11 contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Poolville ran past Coahoma (Coahoma, TX), 48-36, in a non-league contest.
