The West Wilkes Blackhawks topped the visiting Alleghany Trojans basketball team by a final score of 40-29 in Friday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Blackhawks face the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 3. West Wilkes will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 8-3 record after their 61-50 non-league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
