The Eula Pirates (Clyde, TX) basketball felled the visiting Hermleigh Cardinals (Hermleigh, TX), 57-37 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pirates (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Jayton (Jayton, TX). The Jaybirds go into the non-league test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Jayton thwarted Valley (Turkey, TX), 50-45, in a non-league test.
The Cardinals now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Trent for a 1A Region II District 14 test on Saturday, December 31. Hermleigh will encounter a Gorillas squad coming off a 76-7 league loss to Highland (Roscoe, TX). The Gorillas record now stands at 0-6.
