The Reed-Custer Comets basketball team (Braidwood, IL), dropped 37-27 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL)

The Lions now possess a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Coal City for a Illinois Central 8 battle on Thursday, January 5. Lisle will battle a Coalers team coming off a 27-25 non-league win over Wheaton Academy (West Chicago, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 11-4.

The Comets (8-10) will now prepare for their battle against Flanagan/Woodland (Flanagan, IL). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, Flanagan/Woodland dropped by Heyworth (Heyworth, IL), 52-33, in a league battle.
