Kentucky High School Basketball - Paducah Tilghman knocked off by Mayfield

The Mayfield Cardinals basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado to 38 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ballard Memorial for a District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Mayfield will meet a Bombers team coming off a 54-27 non-league win over Joppa-Maple Grove (Joppa, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 2-5.
The Blue Tornado (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hopkins County Central (Madisonville, KY). The Storm enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Hopkins County Central was outscored by Bath County (Owingsville, KY), 48-42, in a non-league contest.
