Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME), 41-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Medomak Valley upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Belfast (Belfast, ME) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 2-5. Belfast lost 52-37 in their recent non-league bout against Houlton (Houlton, ME)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME) in a B North bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Mount View will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 68-25 league loss to Old Town (Old Town, ME).
