Strathmore Spartans (Strathmore, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Orosi Cardinals (Orosi, CA), 41-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Strathmore upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Spartans travel to Farmersville (Farmersville, CA) to play the Aztecs in a East Sequoia bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Aztecs go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Farmersville won 42-39 in their recent non-league bout against Stockdale (Bakersfield, CA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Orange Cove Titans (Orange Cove, CA) in a East Sequoia bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Orosi will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 37-36 non-league loss to Minarets (O'Neals, CA).
