Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) and the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), saw Penobscot Valley's basketball squad wallop Piscataquis by a count of 65-16.

With the victory, Penobscot Valley upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Howlers travel to Dexter (Dexter, ME) to play the Tigers in a C North challenge on Friday, December 30. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-0. Dexter won 31-28 in their recent league challenge against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME)

Next up, the Pirates play the Lee Academy Pandas (Lee, ME) in a C North challenge, on Monday, January 2. Piscataquis will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Pandas come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 45-24 league loss to Penquis Valley (Milo, ME).
