Tonopah Valley Phoenix (Tonopah, AZ) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting San Tan Foothills Sabercats (Queen Creek, AZ), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Phoenix confront the NFL Yet Academy Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) in a 3A Southwest challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Tonopah Valley will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ).

The Sabercats now have a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to San Tan Charter for a 3A East challenge on Tuesday, January 3.
