The Hays Hawks basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Akins Eagles to 52 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hawks now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Belton for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Hays will battle a Broncos team coming off a 69-42 non-league win over Northeast Early College (Austin, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 8-11.
The Eagles (10-12) will now prepare for their contest against Shoemaker (Killeen, TX). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Shoemaker ran past Manor New Tech (Manor, TX), 95-74, in a non-league contest.
