South Carolina High School Basketball - Marlboro County nudges Andrew Jackson

Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Andrew Jackson Volunteers (Kershaw, SC), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marlboro County upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Bulldogs host Darlington (Darlington, SC) to clash with the Falcons in a AAA Region 6 bout on Friday, January 5. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 12-2. Darlington won 58-56 in their recent non-league bout against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC)

Next up, the Volunteers clash with the York Prep Patriots (Rock Hill, SC) in a AA Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Andrew Jackson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 71-58 non-league win over Buford (Lancaster, SC).
