The Marshall Tigers basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Jackson County Central Huskies to 58 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hutchinson for a AAA Section 2 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Marshall will battle a Tigers team coming off a 70-58 non-league loss to Annandale (Annandale, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 7-2.

The Huskies (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Fairmont (Fairmont, MN). The Cardinals enter the AA Section 3 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Fairmont ran past New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (New Richland, MN), 66-33, in a non-league contest.
