The Searsport Vikings basketball team (Searsport, ME), was nudged 40-37 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Jonesport-Beals Royals (Jonesport, ME)
The Royals now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shead for a D North battle on Thursday, January 4. Jonesport-Beals will battle a Tigers team coming off a 69-29 non-league loss to Woodland (Baileyville, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.
The Vikings (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Central (East Corinth, ME). The Red Devils come into the non-league battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Central edged Penquis Valley (Milo, ME), 55-54, in a league battle.
