Scranton Rockets (Scranton, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mulberry Yellowjackets (Mulberry, AR), 55-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Scranton upgrades its record to 20-6 on the season. The Rockets travel to Union Christian Academy (Fort Smith, AR) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-12.

Next up, the Yellowjackets clash with the The New School Cougars (Fayetteville, AR) in a 1A Region 1 West bout, on Thursday, January 4. Mulberry will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 55-48 non-league loss to West Memphis (West Memphis, AR).
