With the win, Weslaco East upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Wildcats host Edcouch-Elsa (Edcouch, TX) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 8-9.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Veterans Memorial Chargers (Brownsville, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 32 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Pace will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record.
