With the victory, Pomeroy improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Genesee (Genesee, ID) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 4. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-8.

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Sunnyside Christian Knights (Sunnyside, WA) in a 1B Southeast test, on Friday, January 5. Waitsburg will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 5-5 record after their 58-38 non-league loss to Wahluke (Mattawa, WA).
