    Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) and the host Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA), saw Union County's basketball squad overcome Rabun County by a tally of 75-59.

    With the victory, Union County improves its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA) to confront the Storm in a AA Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Storm come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Providence Christian Academy lost 77-69 in their recent non-league challenge against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH)

    Next up, the Wildcats confront the Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Rabun County will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record.
