The Santiago Cavaliers basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Segerstrom Jaguars to 45 in the Cavaliers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cavaliers now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kennedy for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Santiago will meet a Fighting Irish team coming off a 64-59 non-league loss to California (Whittier, CA). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 5-9.

The Jaguars (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Godinez Fundamental (Santa Ana, CA). The Grizzlies enter the Golden West contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Godinez Fundamental nudged Oxford Academy (Cypress, CA), 55-31, in a non-league contest.
