Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Archbishop Riordan Crusaders (San Francisco, CA), 64-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Serra upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Padres travel to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA) to play the Dons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Dons go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Acalanes lost 64-62 in their recent non-league bout against Amador Valley (Pleasanton, CA)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Saint Francis Lancers (Mountain View, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Archbishop Riordan will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 51-38 non-league loss to Archbishop Riordan (San Francisco, CA).
