Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY), 78-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pikeville upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Paintsville (Paintsville, KY) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Paintsville won 56-54 in their recent non-league bout against Mason County (Maysville, KY)

Next up, the Eagles/Banshees play the Thomas Nelson Generals (Bardstown, KY) in a District 19 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Bethlehem will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Generals go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 58-37 non-league loss to Darlington (Darlington, SC).
