The Estacado Matadors topped the visiting Coronado Mustangs basketball team by a final score of 58-45 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Matadors face the Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) in a non-league game, on Saturday, December 30. Estacado will attempt to move on its 12-10 season record. The Pirates enter the game with a 13-8 record after their 46-42 non-league win over Abernathy (Abernathy, TX).
With the defeat, Coronado moves to 8-13 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to face the Pirates in a 5A Region I District 4 game on Tuesday, January 2. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 15-8. Lubbock-Cooper won 51-48 in their recent non-league game against North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX)
