Louisiana High School Basketball - Edna Karr knocked off by Salmen

The Salmen Spartans basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Edna Karr Cougars to 40 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bogalusa for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Salmen will meet a Lumberjacks team coming off a 44-12 non-league loss to Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 0-8.

The Cougars (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Bernard's (Eureka, CA). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, St. Bernard's was outscored by Smith County (Carthage, TN), 46-36, in a non-league contest.
