With the victory, Houston County improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Bleckley County (Cochran, GA) to confront the Royals in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 5. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 6-4.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Spalding Jaguars (Griffin, GA) in a AAAA Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Perry will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 52-47 non-league loss to Northside (Warner Robins, GA).
