Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Nettleton Raiders (Jonesboro, AR), 46-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Searcy upgrades its record to 11-3 on the season. The Lions host Paragould (Paragould, AR) to clash with the Rams in a 5A East bout on Friday, January 5. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 1-10. Paragould lost 50-30 in their recent non-league bout against Salem (Salem, AR)

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles (Paragould, AR) in a 5A East bout, on Friday, January 5. Nettleton will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 69-44 non-league win over Westside (Jonesboro, AR).
