The Steele Canyon Cougars basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Helix Highlanders to 28 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Steele Canyon will meet a Patriots team coming off a 0-0 non-league El Capitan (Lakeside, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-4.

The Highlanders (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA). The Monarchs enter the contest with a 1-2 record.
