The Mesa Verde Mavericks basketball team (Citrus Heights, CA), was routed 90-28 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Laguna Creek Cardinals (Elk Grove, CA)
The Cardinals now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Modesto Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 2. Laguna Creek will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 90-46 non-league win over River Islands (Lathrop, CA). The Crusaders record now stands at 8-2.
The Mavericks (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland (Woodland, CA). The Wolves come into the contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Woodland was routed by East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA), 49-36, in a non-league contest.
