North Carolina High School Basketball - Mallard Creek can't hold off West Charlotte

The West Charlotte Lions basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Mallard Creek Mavericks to 52 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hough for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5.
The Mavericks (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Harding University (Charlotte, NC). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Harding University was nudged by Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 48-42, in a non-league contest.
