Washington High School Basketball - Lynden knocks off Archbishop Murphy

In Monday's non-league contest, the host Lynden Lions basketball team scored a good 61-45 win over the Archbishop Murphy Wildcats.
The Lions (8-0) will now prepare for their contest against Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA). The Bulldogs come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Mount Vernon defeated Marysville-Pilchuck (Marysville, WA), 70-35, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Meadowdale Mavericks (Lynnwood, WA) in a 2A/3A Wesco - South contest, on Friday, January 3. Archbishop Murphy will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Mavericks come into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 72-46 non-league win over Juanita (Kirkland, WA).
