In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Chaffey Tigers basketball team scored a close 52-50 win over the Fontana Steelers.

The Tigers (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Western Christian (Upland, CA). The Fighting Lancers come into the non-league contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Western Christian was tipped by Brea Olinda (Brea, CA), 62-21, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Steelers battle the Workman Lobos (City of Industry, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Fontana will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record. The Lobos come into the contest with a 13-3 record after their 96-58 non-league win over Aveson Global Leadership Academy (Altadena, CA).
