The Redhounds (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Blazer trounced Danville Christian Academy (Danville, KY), 54-43, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Briar Jumpers encounter the Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) in a District 47 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Somerset will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 92-57 non-league loss to Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY).
