North Carolina High School Basketball - First Flight succumbs to Hoggard

December 30, 2024: Wilmington, NC 28403

In Monday's non-league test, the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) basketball squad defeated the visiting First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), by a score of 72-59.

Next, the Vikings clash with the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a 3A/4A Mideastern test, on Friday, January 3. Hoggard will attempt to improve on its 9-2 season record. The Screaming Eagle come into the test with a 5-6 record after their 73-57 non-league loss to Croatan (Newport, NC).

The Nighthawks (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC). The Lions come into the non-league test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Southern Wake Academy overcame Pearl-Cohn (Nashville, TN), 64-38, in a non-league test.
