In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Ipswich Tigers basketball team scored a good 67-59 triumph over the Winthrop Vikings.
The Tigers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA). The Generals go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Hamilton-Wenham Regional topped Salem Academy Charter (Salem, MA), 71-34, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Saugus Sachems (Saugus, MA) in a Northeastern - Small contest, on Thursday, January 2. Winthrop will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Sachems go into the contest with a 2-2 record after their 72-34 non-league win over Northeast Metro RVT (Wakefield, MA).
