In Monday's league contest, the host Menard Yellowjackets basketball team scored a big 72-13 triumph over the Olfen Mustangs.

The Yellowjackets (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Eden (Eden, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Region II District 12 contest with a 5-5 record. In their last contest, Eden was trounced by Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX), 70-39, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Paint Rock Indians (Paint Rock, TX) in a 1A Region II District 12 contest, on Friday, January 3. Olfen will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 5-9 record after their 72-35 league win over Lohn (Lohn, TX).
