The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Palos Verdes Sea Kings (Palos Verdes Estates, CA) and the host South Spartans (Torrance, CA), observed Palos Verdes's basketball team knock off South by a score of 62-47.

The Sea Kings (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Chaminade (West Hills, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 16-3 record. In their last challenge, Chaminade was knocked off by Brentwood School (Los Angeles, CA), 70-50, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the North Saxons (Torrance, CA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. South will attempt to improve on its 15-6 season record.
