In Monday's league contest, the host Refugio Bobcats basketball team scored a big 61-33 triumph over the Yorktown Wildcats.

The Bobcats (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A Region IV District 31 contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Woodsboro was trounced by Pettus (Pettus, TX), 53-46, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 contest, on Friday, January 3. Yorktown will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Marlins go into the contest with a 14-8 record after their 82-51 league win over Kenedy (Kenedy, TX).
