The Shaw Warriors basketball team scored 79 points and limited the visiting Simmons Blue Devils to 60 in the Warriors league triumph on Monday.

The Warriors now have a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to West Bolivar for a 1A Region 5 game on Friday, January 3. Shaw will confront a Eagles team coming off a 43-28 league win over Leland (Leland, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Simmons falls to 0-11 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A Region 5 game on Friday, January 3. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 5-6. South Delta won 67-62 in their recent league challenge against West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS)
