In Monday's non-league contest, the host Palmer Tigers basketball team scored a close 43-36 triumph over the Newman Grove/St. Edward Panthers.

The Tigers (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Twin Loup (Sargent, NE). The Wolves go into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Twin Loup nipped Elba (Elba, NE), 37-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Elba Bluejays (Elba, NE) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 31. Newman Grove/St. Edward will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record.
